"My name is Scott Rainey, and I am ASB advisor at Jemtegaard Middle School in Washougal, Washington. Finding a disc jockey to play music for students at a school dance is easy - the phone book is full of them. Finding one who is sensitive to the needs of schools (and especially of children) is very difficult. This is where Chad Dowling comes in. Chad is, first of all, a consummate professional - listening to him DJ a dance is much like listening to one's favorite radio DJ - he is witty, charming, energetic, and builds an instant rapport with the students. Secondly, Chad is very particular about the kind of music he plays at school functions. As Student Council advisor, I haveknown quite a fellow advisors at schools that have been forced to discontinue school dances due to the inappropriate content in some of today's music. Chad makes sure that this kind of content does not find its way to our events. Being a music professional, he is much more in tune (no pun intended) with the music of today than the average adult may be, and is able to make wise decisions regarding the kind of music that is appropriate to play for children. Knowing that the youngest attendees at our middle school dances can sometimes be eleven years old, this is a primary concern of mine. Chad's professionalism, attention to detail, courtesy and overall care for what we need as his customers has assured that he is now our "permanent" DJ for all of our dances and functions.
